Spracklen2008: Boreal forests, aerosols and the impacts on clouds and climate

Last Updated on November 3, 2021 by admin

Sprackler and co-workers point out that aerosols (small particles in the atmosphere) can form from organic molecules from forests, leading to faster cloud formation. This effect can cool the earth and compensate the warming effect from decreased albedo in boreal forests compared with bare earth.
