Royal Society for the Protection of Birds har tillsammans med Greenpeace och Jordens vänner skrivit en rapport om planerna som regeringen i Storbritannien har angående bioenergi. Baserat på data från departementet för energi och klimatförändringar kommer de fram till att en storskalig övergång till bioenergi (för både el och värme) inte innebär någon klimatvinst, därför att kolskuld och indirekta konsekvenser har utelämnats i beräkningarna.
